Taxis!!

Wednesday, March 30th, 2005

I don’t know whether people bother to read my blog…but welll it’s an avenue of my frustration right????

So today went to get a new winter jacket….what…..??? Yeah…season’s almost over and I went to buy one….am I crazy….welll no….got a deal…a jacket which was nearly 300 was on sale for under 200 cad….hmm….is it good….yeah much better than the one I had previously which although was a real steal at 100 but got badly weathered in just year due to my er…..strength…..(while trying to zip it I pulled it too roughly that the zip and the zipper gave away…so had to rely on velcro to hold it on….pretty bad)…but since this new jacket is on sale and pretty good quality too….I decided to buy it…I think I’m going to start eating kraft dinner for the next few weeks to offset my purchase….:-)

anyway…met a cabby whom I think must have some issues with foreigners….well he doesn’t have to say it…his feeling is plastered all over his face..one which I would rather not discuss…but I feel so much better writing this….hmmm I think I would post my poems…

anyway…thank you anyone out there for reading this….hmmm….sigh…can’t wait to go back home and get more clothes and better food.

Joke

Friday, March 11th, 2005

Got this from a friend, (Great Joke Juan), Don’t know where he got it….but it’s really funny.

THE POPE & HARBINDER SINGH
About a century or two ago, the Pope decided that
all
the Sikhs had to leave Italy. Naturally there was a
big
uproar from the Sikh community. So the Pope
made a
deal. He would have a religious debate with a
member
of the Sikh community. If the Sikh won, the Sikhs
could stay. If the Pope won, the Sikhs would leave.
The Sikhs realized that they had no choice. So
they
picked a middle- aged man named Harbinder
Singh
to represent them. Harbinder asked for one
additional
condition to the debate. To make it more
interesting,
neither side would be allowed to talk. The Pope
agreed.

The day of the great debate came. Harbinder Singh
and the Pope sat opposite each other for a full
minute. Then the Pope raised his hand and
showed
three fingers. Harbinder looked back at him and
raised one finger. The Pope waved his fingers in a
circle around his head. Harbinder pointed to the
ground where he sat. The Pope pulled out a wafer
and a glass of wine. Harbinder pulled out an apple.

The Pope stood up and said, "I give up. This man
is
too good. The Sikhs can stay." An hour later, the
cardinals were gathered around the Pope asking
him
what had happened. The Pope said, "First I held
up
three fingers to represent the holy trinity. He
responded by holding up one finger to remind me
that
there was still one God common to both our
religions.
Then I waved my finger around me to show him
that
God was all around us. He responded by pointing
to
the ground and showing that God was also right
here
with us. I pulled out the wine and wafer to show
that
God absolves us from our sins. He pulled out an
apple
to remind me of original sin. He had an answer for
everything. What could I do?"

Meanwhile, the Sikh community had crowded
around
Harbinder Singh. "What happened?" they
asked. "Well," said Harbinder, "First he said to me
that the Sikhs had three days to get out of here. I
told
him to f*@k off and not one of us was leaving.
Then
he told me that this whole city would be cleared of
Sikhs. I let him know that we were staying right
here." "Yes, and then???" asked the crowd. "I
don’t
know", said Harbinder, "He took out his lunch, and
I
took out mine!!

Bane of Taxation

Tuesday, March 8th, 2005

Argg…..Whoever who mentioned that death and taxed are the only constant things in life is true!!!

Just filed my 2004 taxes today…Good thing the international office helped out…But they sent a crucial form to malaysia!! ??????

WTF???? To m home address…why didn’t they send it to my local address….UNB must get its fact right!! sigh…Hope I don’t have to have a showdown with the officials…will be pretty bad if it happens…

Anyway…And since I turned 21..the bank started to charge me for using their services…Man…pretty damn efficient…..One day old and they charged me already….good thing I went to the bank to sort it out.

Hmm…just wondering why am I writing all this stuff???? I wonder whether people are reading it…anyway…It’s kind a cool to post brick-bracks like this online….An avenue to vent frustrations / joy

A word in the english language aptly summarises this….Oxymoron…..Get it???? hint is on the last sentence after the ellipsis above!!!

Ciao….Got to do my programming assignment after this….If I don’t procastinate any more.
